Synopsis:
Cantores, is a documentary produced by The Argentine Tango Society. From the beginning, the young tango performer, Roberto Decarre, poses a question: Is there room for innovation in traditional music that seems to have given it everything many years ago? The question mobilizes the search for the secret of the success of the great singers of the golden age of tango and, then, the interviews with Alberto Podesta and Juan Carlos Godoy arise. The hand-in-hand dialogue with these great references of citizen music brings forth memories of their participation in memorable orchestras and the birth of their greatest hits, as well as numerous anecdotes that marked their extensive careers. In this way, the meeting between a young performer and two great singers who have left an invaluable legacy, establishes a generational bridge that allows us to reflect on the past, present and future of a musical genre that identifies us and has transcended our borders. .
